Summary

Student records and data conflicts

Full policy

In all cases of conflicting data in a student’s record between that which is maintained by the Registrar's Office at the student's affiliated institution and that which is maintained by Professor Rosenberg (including, but not limited to, enrollment and grades), the data maintained by the Registrar’s Office prevails. The only exception is a student’s email address, which may be of the student’s choosing (thus different from that which is reflected on his or her file maintained by Registrar's Office) and for which the student takes full responsibility regarding all issues of privacy and viability[1].

After the passing of the official date of completion of a course, as determined by its affiliated institution, there is to be no further expectation of Professor Rosenberg to preserve any part of a student's record, except as dictated by contractual obligations.  Therefore, students are expected to maintain their own records, backups, and copies of all submitted assignments, grades, and communications throughout the duration of his or her official enrollment in the course.
